Oh, good grief. It is really hard to stick with the current administration when they pull funky, idiotic stuff out of the hat like this. What the HELL do we need with a WAR CZAR? I thought that was the COMMANDER IN CHIEF? For pete's sake, we have the best military in the entire world with the best soldiers in the entire world sadly being lead by NO ONE!!! A curse on the Washington DC crowd from both parties who are more interested in winning the 2008 election than winning a freaking war being fought for our protection and to defeat those who want to destroy us. GET A GRIP PEOPLE!

That being said. If there is going to be a war Czar.......there needs to be a War Czarina! I nominate Barbara Bush. I think she could kick some major A**!

The Taliban's top military commander in Afghanistan, Mullah Dadullah, has been killed in fighting in the south.
His body was shown to reporters in Kandahar, and Taliban sources confirmed the death, after initial denials.
NATO said Dadullah died in a clash with Afghan and Western forces in Helmand province.
Mullah Dadullah "will most certainly be replaced in time but the insurgency has received a serious blow" the Nato-led security assistance force (Isaf) said.
Isaf and Afghan troops have been engaged in a major operation in Helmand province since early March.
But the Taliban commander was killed in an operation by the separate US-led coalition supported by Isaf, news agency AFP said.

YORKTOWN — David E. Monroe, 51, allegedly told his wife Carolyn to sit in a chair in their living room in front of the picture window on Sunday.

“I’ll be right back,” he reportedly said.

According to police, Monroe then drove his 2003 Ford F 150 pickup truck through the picture window. The vehicle came to a stop in the living room.Carolyn Monroe and the couple’s daughter fled out the back door before the crash at 6:41 p.m. on Sunday.

Monroe, of 1731 S. Nebo Road, was jailed on preliminary charges of attempted murder, criminal recklessness with a vehicle and disorderly conduct.

A pic accompanied the story where witnesses said the homicidal hoosier husband hit his house twice. Upon failing to kill his wife he exited the vehicle and attacked the mailbox. Isn't that a federal offense?

I could give a fig what Rosie says. Which is too bad. She used to be funny. Now her publicist is reduced to saying things like this:

Perhaps even worse is this snarky comment by the editor of Jane magazine:

Brandon Holley, editor-in-chief of Jane magazine, said, "I wasn't personally offended, but I thought it was fun to watch other people be offended."

I just bet it was. As long as it was "other people". Love to see Ms Holley's face when confronted with what she considers offensive. I wonder if she'll be as understanding if other people are amused at her discomfort? Of course, I'm sure what the ultra fabulous Jane editor would find offensive is, of course, what everyone would find offensive and how dare you find amusement in that. Typical. Idiot. Liberal.

COLUMBIA, S.C.-- Last year may turn out to be one of the deadliest on record for pedestrians in South Carolina.

As of Dec. 30, 122 people had been killed while walking on South Carolina's roads. That's up more than 25 percent from 2005 and the deadliest year since 123 pedestrians were killed in 1993.

The latest fatality came Saturday in Richland County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

"We're having all sorts of pedestrians being killed this year," said Col. Russell Roark, patrol commander.

In almost a third of the deaths, the official cause was listed as "lying illegally in road." In those cases, the pedestrian often had been drinking, safety officials said.

Most of the deaths occurred after dark and include an Aiken County sheriff's deputy, who was hit while directing traffic at a fire in early December.

Perhaps you need an attorney to tell you when you can legally lie in the road?

Oh those wonderful Dimocrats who care soooooo much about us. They promised the moon in the 2006 elections, paid for out of our own pockets of course, but they are to get the credit for all their "hard work".

So, let's see what has been accomplished. They passed raising the federal minimum wage and so now everyone has seen a resulting pay incr.........oh, wait..........turns out Frau Pelosi and Herr Reid never have reconciled the House and Senate versions of the bill. Thus no law. Oh, they passed it in both chambers, even with a hefty minority of the spineless GOP voting with the dims. BUT, nothing has been accomplished because it has never went any further than that. Guess San Fran Nan has been to busy kissing the behinds of dictators/terrorists in the Middle East to notice this "little" fact.

Well surely they've done better with the other legislation. Embryonic stem cell research? Passed but not into law. Implementing the 9/11 commission recommendations? Passed but not into law. Funding the Iraq war on the condition that troops begin to be withdrawn? Passed but not into law. I sense a pattern here? The Dims can't seem to finish anything they've started.

I guess Nan and Hare's claim they represent the American people and the President does not only goes so far. They get us all hot and bothered about legislation that is absolutely essential to our existence then can't pull the trigger to get it passed into law. The teases.

I think it is exemplary of the Dim party has a whole. You only have to make the promises. You don't have to deliver. Amazingly, a large portion of the country buys this drivel from these scammers every time. Hook, line and sinker.

If the GOP was not so incompetent, you would think there would be an advantage for them here. But the elephant has been replaced by the jellyfish as the symbol of the party. While both our grand political parties leave everyone hanging out in the breeze. Luckily, I am here at home and not risking my life like others in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere. It is unconscionable of all these politicians to put their political battles above the military ones.

Just a note, if you care so much about the American people, you might want to consider the hundreds of thousands of them you are putting at risk while you putter around like a group of spoiled schoolchildren sniping at each other on the playground. You can go back to playing your stupid political games after we have achieved a victorious peace in Iraq.

Your nothing is not something. And don't think the American people wouldn't trade the safety of our troops for the political fortunes of a bunch of losers in DC in a heartbeat.

Ms Angelina Jolie Pitt has had it all going her way in the adopt-a-third wold kid-a-thon. Poor Britney shaved her head and went cuckoo for cocoa puffs and basically eliminated herself from the competition. Other Hollywood stars are far too timid to get in the mix, although I hold out hope for some.

Then comes Madge out of the woodwork and back to Malawi. She has her eye on a girl this time and, well, she usually gets what she wants. Although hopefully the "adoption" will look less like a "kidnapping" this time. Or is Mrs Ritchie losing her "edge".
