TOO MANY "ISMS" NOT ENUF CHILDREN!

I have been hearing a commercial on the radio that states that 1 out of every 166 children will be diagnosed with some form of autism.

BULL.

Of course, for every ill-behaved child that was almost assuredly ill conceived their exists some sort of ism to excuse the parents from parenting and making their children behave. No one has to even try to raise their kids anymore all they have to do is diagnose them and absolve everyone from any blame whatsoever.

The "Living" section of the Champaign News-Gazette ran an article on a family whose daughter suffers from "mutism". She refuses to speak to anyone but her family and a few "talking" friends because she is incredibly shy.

The parents are afraid their daughter will be seen as "dumb" because of her shyness. No, the kid is a freakin' genius. She has figured out that she can manipulate her parents and the system by behaving in this manner. Her parents speak for her and even found a school where a so-called "educator" teaches her class so the child will not have to communicate. She might as well be raised by wolves. At least the canines would teach her survival skills.

Of course, the mom has become PRESIDENT of some society for parents not willing to deal with their child's behavioral problems. Because it is clear in the article that "mutism" is more about the adults than the child.

I could have the kid talking in no time and I would not have to be some big meanie to do it. Of course, Mumsy might lose out on the publicity. Heaven forbid!

PRESIDENT PEANUT WORRIED US WON'T HAVE DATE FOR PROM

Former disastrous President Jimmy Carter is continuing his global America-bashing tour in Britain by saying, among other asinine things, this:

"We now have a situation where America is so unpopular overseas that even in countries like Egypt and Jordan our approval ratings are less than 5 percent.
newsmax.com

Well, if idiot ex-presidents like President Peanut quit running about the globe bad-mouthing their own country, well maybe we might at least get to take our cousin to the prom.

Jimmy Carter is a treasonous ass of a human being and that is being charitable. Remember to thank him for doing ABSOLUTELY nothing to inhibit the birth of radical islam under his, what I would loosely call, presidency. The brain dead man even encouraged it! Oh and remember to thank him for nearly destroying the American economy during that time too.

Yes, jemma, was a lose-lose for this country.

MRS POTATO HEAD

Now, I'm venturing a guess that perhaps there has been just a weeeeee bit of plastic surgery on Melanie? Have you seen the pics of Mel lighting her daughters ciggy? Along with her tattoo, well, she just shouts "CLASS"!

ALLIE, ALLIE IN FREE

Police arrested the last two of the missing 11 Egyptian students in Richmond, VA today. The next headline I expect to see:

Homeland Security Says Wayward Egyptians Students Can Stay....Praise Allah!

So far, our intrepid "free" press has failed to actually find out from anyone exactly what the students were doing. No one seems to care either. Of course, asking questions would come close to reporting the news a concept unfamiliar to most Western journalists.

BBQ HELD BY FASTING PEACE ACTIVISTS

Turns out Cindy Sheehan has been hospitalized. No not the psych ward where she belongs but for some sort of gynelogical procedure. She was also dehydrated according to the AP story on Yahoo News. She ate for the first time in 37 days(supposedly).

Anyway turns out she's missing an event with the fellow nutbags back at el rancherito:

She said she could be released later in the day but probably would miss an afternoon barbecue at Camp Casey, the protesters' campsite named for her soldier son who was killed in Iraq in 2004.

I don't know about you but isn't holding a BBQ a little inconsistent with people who are supposedly fasting? Maybe it's a liquid barbecue? Maybe vegetables don't count? Except for the vegetables posing as peace activists I suppose.

I hope Susan Sarandon is taking notes on all of this so she can include this in her movie. Can't wait for that to come out. I wonder if it will include the part where she desecrates everything her son fought and died for. Somehow, I doubt it will be that complete.

Or it may be just plain stupid. Sorta like a "fasting barbecue".......or a "peace" activist using her dead's son memory so she can enjoy some "glory days". Sick. Get her back to the hospital.

RECORD NOW OVER .500

6 of the 11 Egyptians students "wandering" about in the US have now been caught. bully for the feds! Hopefully the other five won't show up on a flight with an explosive cocktail in hand.

from the Chicago tribune:
About 7:30 a.m. Thursday, El Ela approached one of the Delta gate desks in O'Hare's Terminal 3 and attempted to book himself on a flight to Bozeman, Mont., Bolger said, but his ticket was for a flight from New York to Bozeman on a different day.

He wanted to exchange the ticket and "was acting in a strange, erratic behavior," Bolger said.

El Ela raised his voice with airline agents and told the woman to call the university to confirm he was a student there. The woman did, but a university representative told her to contact authorities immediately, Bolger said. At that point, the woman called the officer, and he soon arrived at the gate.

By that time, El Ela was "calm and cooperative," Bolger said. "He was kind of confused, and he talked in broken English."

Bolger asked him questions, but he said El Ela would not tell him where he had been recently. Police later learned that he had apparently taken a bus from New York to Chicago, police spokeswoman Monique Bond said

**********
the other two were picked up in Maryland. via the Houston Chronicle(www.chron.com)
Two other students, El Sayed Ahmed Elsayed Ibrahim, 20, and Alaa Abd El Fattah Ali El Bahnasawi, 20, were arrested at a residence in Dundalk, Md., outside Baltimore, by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, the FBI said.

okay this is from today's Houston Chronicle about the missing minnesotan muslim:
Relatives in Egypt explained the students' failure to show up at Montana State by saying they probably wanted to find work in the United States.

"It must have been in his mind to stay where there are plenty of job opportunities," said Ibrahim el-Dessouki, the father of a student arrested Wednesday in Minnesota. "You know how much a dollar is worth here in Egypt."

He said he spoke to his son when he arrived in the United States but has not since.
I bet the dims are torn over this one? I thought the economy was in shambles? Evidently not so much as to keep illegal immigrants from Egypt risking everything to come get work in a land with "plenty of job opportunities".

however, this was in the chronicle yesterday.
Hamvi Kassab, a Minneapolis grocer who said he is El-Dessouki's uncle, told television station KSTP that his nephew was in town to visit relatives and to inquire about attending the University of Minnesota.
***let's see. pappa el-Dessouki said his son perhaps was looking for work and had not talked to him since he arrived in the US. Uncle el-Dessouki evidently is not on speaking terms with il Papa. Oh, and he says the youngster was in town seeking to become a Golden Gopher. Which is it?

A BROAD STRATA OF SEVERE WEATHER

This was from our local National Weather Service office in this morning's Hazardous Weather Outlook section of the website:

ANY STORMS THAT DEVELOP ARE NOT EXPECTED TO BECOME SEVERE DUE TO
HAIL AND WIND...HOWEVER HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING
WILL BE POSSIBLE. BE AWARE OF POTENTIAL FLOODING AS WELL

Let me see.......the storms will not be severe because of all the hail, wind, frequent lightning and heavy flooding downpours? Nope not severe. Are they afraid of weather profiling?

HOW THE GOP WILL WIN IN NOVEMBER

by using our secret weapon......Democrats.

this is from the USA today article today on Lieberman's loss in the CT primary:

Reid and Schumer the party's Senate leader, and the head of the Democratic Senate campaign committee said: "The perception was that (Lieberman) was too close to George Bush and this was, in many respects, a referendum on the president more than anything else. The results bode well for Democratic victories in November and our efforts to take the country in a new direction."

Hmmm, a referendum on the President conducted almost solely within the party of his opponents........and they can only get just over half of the registered party of the opposition to vote against Bush? Very interesting huh? This is like polling die- hard Chicago Bears fans on the possibility of the Green Bay Packers reaching next year's Superbowl. I bet we could get more than 52% to say NO!

SO just imagine when, in a general election, you add a whole bunch of Republicans and independents into the mix! Of course, unthinking dims such as Reid and Schumer quite possibly are not aware that we Republicans even exist. Their loss and I mean that quite literally.

ONE LITTLE, TWO LITTLE, THREE LITTLE

Egyptians out of 11 little Egyptian boys.

I doubt they are terrorists. I doubt they are a threat. But, they were here as guests, they had rules to follow, they did not, so time to return to the land of the sphinx. No Meet me in Montana for you, sorry.

We have plenty of our own citizens who we have to watch out for because they are idiots who can't follow the rules either. We don't need to compound the problem with others who are just visitin'.

from ctv.ca(my comments in bold)
Former FBI Special Agent George Bauries said the high number of disappearances is unusual.

"If you had one or two of the group that decided they were going off to see Disneyland or Las Vegas, that's understandable," said Bauries. "But for 11 individuals to basically fall off of the radar in the United States, that is a concern." note to terrorists, don't disappear in such large groups

Cal Temple, of the Terrorism Research Center in Virginia, said the fact the missing students are Egyptian has added an extra incentive to the chase.

"Given the relationship between the al Qaeda network and Egyptians -- al Qaeda's number two guy (Ayman al-Zawahiri) is an Egyptian -- that probably added a little bit of additional urgency to find these guys," said Temple.

While there are approximately 1,300 students who have violated their student visas, "alarm bells started ringing because 11 people, all at once, disappeared," said Malbon. that makes me feel better, you only have caught one-third of these guys. Does that mean there are still 800 or 900 missing students overall??

But Special Agent Richard Kolko told the Associated Press that El-Dessouki's arrest was made "without incident," and that none of the missing students pose any terrorism threat. if he is so sure about that, then why can't they find these innocent young boys?

One of the group said the missing students probably have been unable to find there way to the university. oh puhleeaase

"I'm sure that they are lost somewhere in New York. It's a big city and I'm so worried about them," said Mohamed Elsamy. The poor dears. now, I'd like to think that the bright lights running Montana State University would have had some sort of welcoming party or plan to transport the guys across country. Evidently the others found New Jersey and Minnesota? But I agree with Mohamed, I'm worried about them too.

LINA(NED) LAMONT WINS CONNECTICUT PRIMARY

I thought this a fitting picture to go with Ned Lamont's win in tonight's dim primary in the NUTmeg(emphasis on NUT) of Connecticut. Just like in the classic Singin' in the Rain, Ned much like Lina Lamont in the movie, will be exposed at some point for the fraud that he is. Who will we see when the curtain is drawn back? Not the beautiful Debbie Reynolds, but a bunch of wild-eyed, left-wing, hysterical nutbags. The far left thinks this primary portends great things for the general election and so do I. They run another hysterical national campaign of hatred and we Republicans will turn out in droves to keep control of both the House and the Senate.

a la Lockwood and Lamont:
no No NO!

oh, yes Yes YES

OH WHERE, OH WHERE......

have the Egyptians gone. Oh where, oh where can they be?

The FBI says not to worry..............so I worry.

Here's an excerpt of the story from(gag) ABC News

By JASON RYAN

WASHINGTON, Aug. 8, 2006 — The FBI and U.S. Immigration and Custom's Enforcement alerted intelligence agencies and state and local law enforcement this week about 11 Egyptian students who failed to report to their classes at Montana State University after they entered the country last month.

The 11 students entered the United States through New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on July 29, 2006, but have failed to arrive at MSU, where they were scheduled to take English and other academic courses as part of an exchange program with Mansoura University, which is located in Alexandria, Egypt.

"The FBI and ICE would like to locate these 11 students in order to speak with them," FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said in a statement released Monday. "At this point all they have done is not show up for a scheduled academic program and their student visas have been revoked."

The students are required to register with the university under ICE's Student and Exchange Visitor Program, which was set up after the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, to make sure that only legitimate foreign students are granted entry into the United States. Law enforcement and immigration officials envisioned the program shortly after the 9/11 attacks and have required schools and exchange programs to use the system since February 2003.

At least they did not say they were from a broad strata of society.....

IMAGINE THE LITTER BOX!!

Jim Sautner, seen here in April 2004, sits and eats in his kitchen with his trained buffalo Bailey in Spruce Grove, Canada. Wild buffalo have taken over a small town in Canada's far north, but unlike stray cats, pigeons, and other nuisance animals, these massive bovine pests can smash a truck, a local official said.(AFP/File/Carlo Allegri) This is why we should not trust Canadians.......they ain't right.

EEEW! HE TOUCHED HER!

"Why thank you Helen. Laura and I would love for you to "have" us for dinner. You say you've moved to a gingerbread house in the enchanted forest. I bet that beats living under that bridge and assaulting passing goats doesn't it?"

CHINA SYNDROME

This was written back in 2004 before I ever knew about blogging. I used to email my family and friends these little gems. Most of them still speak to me......I think.

At Wal-Mart the other day, I purchased a little stand up cabinet so I would have someplace to put the toilet paper and kleenex in my bathroom. Something I guess I just could not live without? Why? I don't really know, maybe I was worried my paper products would resent me for leaving them out in the open. No squeezing the Charmin for you big guy.

I knew assembly would be required but this was not a very big piece, surely it could not be that difficult.

HA! I knew I was in trouble when I opened the box and about a jillion tiny screws fell out. Who did they think was going to be putting this together, Oompa Loompas? So I valiantly tried to put the microscopic screws in what were not really holes but just recommendations for where the holes were supposed to be drilled before the thing left Beijing. And that brings me to my point. The Chinese are trying to drive us crazy. They even put their cute little Made in China sticker on the cabinet so as I was trying to screw the door on I could look in the back of the cabinet and see it. In gold it was. Taunting the stupid American capitalist pig who is so vain as to need a cabinet for his T.P.

So while we are busy assembling our "crap", they are plotting to take over the world as they dull our senses with their "some assembly required" furniture. I picture the invasion force coming here without firing a shot as we all stand there blank faced with thousands of miniscule screws around our feet, Phillips screwdrivers hanging loosely in our slack hands, and paper.....the directions torn up and tossed about like confetti.

Anyway, if that doesn't happen the Chinese are missing out on a golden opportunity. I did finish the cabinet "sort of" and it looks great. Just don't open the door to admire the craftmanship. So, if I ever have Chinese guests over to the house and they use the bathroom they can report back to their superiors that the "master" plan is working.

MADONNA NAILS HER LATEST PERFORMANCE

Literally! The material girl has chosen to stage a mock crucifixion complete with a crown of thorns as part of her new stage show for her world tour Confessions on a Dance Floor. I guess her singing and dancing don't cut it anymore so she has to resort to controversial theatrics to make a splash.

I used to like Madonna, she always pushed the envelope with her style and her music. She used to be cutting edge. Now she has completely gone over the edge. What a shame. She used to be fun. Now she's just a joke that she doesn't get.

Of course, I don't see any Christians rioting in the streets or burning their bustiers in protest. The NY Times will probably run a picture of it on the front page and Time magazine can put her on the cover and talk about how "brave" she is for doing this. Thank Goodness she did not insult the Muslims in any way. She isn't that brave is she? Christians are easier targets.

A young, cool Madonna used to say "she wanted to rule the world". And now she's simply reduced herself to trying to fool the world. Sad.

NELSON MANDELA JOINS GNR

Does Axl Rose not look like a white Nelson Mandela? My apologies to the Mandela family. BOO!

MARIE OSMOND: NOT SUICIDAL

Thank GOD! At least according to the screaming headlines on Yahoo News via E! Online.

From the story:
For the record Marie Osmond is "just fine," enjoying a summer vacation with her family...and tired of punching Jell-O.

regarding the story in that bastion of journalistic integrity The New York Times, oh wait that would be the National Enquirer(same difference):

"We deal with those tabloids all the time," her manager, Karl Engemann, told the wire service. "You get tired of responding. It's like punching Jell-O."

Marie may be tired of punching Jello but it also appears she has not grown tired of eating it.......................MEOWRRRRRRR

AGE IN THE CAGE

I have not had fun with any pictures lately so I went on a mission tonight and found this right off the bat. Is it just me or is Nicholas Cage not aging very well? He looks like, well, death. Give him a scythe and a robe. Yikes. Alice Kim his wife is handsome enough but no wonder lil' Lisa Marie Presley Jackson Cage didn't stick around long what with the Grim Reaper lurking about.

HE'S JUST A GOV WHO CAIN'T SAY NO

Our boy wonder Governor Rod has done it again. Blagojevich signed a law this week that provides $500 grants for students from middle income families. And by "middle income" we mean families earning........drumroll.....$200,000 or less. TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS IS MIDDLE INCOME???? Yes, 68,000 sophomores, juniors and seniors will be eligible for the grant.

Coming out after two stories this past week of how Illinois has amassed the largest debt of any state in the nation and has the worst poverty rate in the Midwest(despite having the 5th largest economy in the nation) it appears the Governor is trying to keep us NUMBER ONE!

Ironically, tuition at Illinois universities has increased over 50% in the past four years, the largest increase during any Governor's tenure. Maybe he has a guilty conscience or maybe, and this is just my theory, he is an idiot.

But leave it to the Democrats! They take your hard earned money and offer to provide you a service at an incredibly inflated price.(gotta take care of the bureaucrats ya know) Then they give you back a pittance of your OWN money to help you pay for the overpriced often ill-managed program and want you to feel indebted to them for the service they have provided with what was your own money to begin with. Sheesh!

MTV TURNS TWENTY FIVE......woo hoo

Gather round young'uns as I tell you about a time before there was music television. We had to stay up late on Friday night and watch something called Night Tracks on WTBS the Atlanta superstation. Of course, we just had cable TV hooked up not too long before that. Ahhh, back in the day. I know you are wondering how we survived.

MTV used to be fun. Videos were cool, edgy, funny. We devoured them all. We worshipped the VJs: JJ Jackson, Martha Quinn, Alan Hunter, Nina Blackwood, and Mark Goodman. It was music brought to life. It was a movie short or concert piece for the increasing attention deficit gaps of a generation.

Here are some of my fave memories, bands, and videos from those earliest MTV days before corporate, record industry, and Hollywood destroyed the new medium:

Video Killed the Radio Star by the Buggles: That was the anthem, the first song played when MTV went on the air and each time a new cable affiliate picked up the network. My friends and I crowded around my TV in my dorm room at the University of Illinois where we were welcomed by the VJ and serenaded with this song. I bet it only cost about $1.50 to produce. By today's standards, it looks incredibly tacky but hey, it was the first and you always remember your first.

Michael Jackson: Anything he did, was awesome. It was a time where he had the world at his feet instead of small children at his.......well never mind. The moon walkin', beat it, billie jean is not my loverin, jacko was a thriller.

Madonna: She wanted to rule the world. Wow! Did she ever! She could have made a video where all she did was put Pop Tarts in a toaster and we would have been all over it. This was back when she was from Michigan and not sporting that fake English accent and promoting some made up religion.

We are the World: We are the children. Maybe this was the beginning of the end or maybe it was just because I graduated from college and was ready to grow up, well almost ready. I remember a Hands Across America was held the very same day as my graduation from college.

Total Coelho: I Eat Cannibals. Another video that was cheap, cheap, cheap. It looked trashy and unprofessional. LOVED IT!! The girls were all dressed in different brightly colored Hefty bags. I remember this inspired a Halloween costume worn by my friends Jodi and Diane. Except they just wore brown bags. People up in Campustown at the Halloween street party, since cancelled(dang!) because of broken windows, arson, and alcohol poisoning, thought they were boogers.

Annie Lennox, Boy George, Poison: All the gender benders. Men with makeup. Women in suits. Big Hair for the boys. Crew cuts for the girls. It provided hours of conversation about who was what and who was doing what to whom???!!! LOL

Cyndy Lauper: who is this girl and why is she so unusual. She is my hero!

Anything British: Dexy's Midnight Runners, Spandau Ballet, Bananarama, Tracy Ullman, the Young Ones, Duran Duran. Give it an accent and it was number ONE!

Well, that's enough for now. I guess there was no real moola in just showing music videos. Too bad they have had to eliminate them almost altogether. MTV Classic channel anyone?????
