TWO COMMERCIALS

Two ads are running in Illinois right now, one on television the other on radio, that pretty much sum up what is wrong with the state of Illinois and the current regime.

On TV, our big-haired Governor tells us about his Fair Share plan which basically boils down to Rod in the Hood stealing from the "rich" and "giving" to the poor. Corporations, you see, who employ millions of Illinoisans, providing them with a livelihood and health insurance etc.... along with paying billions of dollars in other taxes and fees to operate in this state have the temerity to want to turn a profit. Our dim bulb governor therefore wants them to pay a tax on their gross receipts, whether they turn a profit or not. That is their fair share. Forget about whatever else they are doing for the economy. Stick it to your employer! Lose your job! How fair is that? Of course, the guv and his band of Merry Dims count on the support of many in society who are afraid someone is getting "a bigger fair share" than they are, even though they haven't done anything to earn it.

I've always said that if a doctor were going to offer free hysterectomies to a roomful of Democrats, every one would demand one, even the men. By God, someone else might be getting something, their "fair share" if you will, that I'm not. No matter how ridiculous, unqualified, or undeserving, we all get treated the same.

Perhaps related is the food stamp commercial on the radio sponsored by the Department of Agriculture. Appears fully 50% of the people in Illinois who qualify for food stamps do not utilize the opportunity. So they ADVERTISE for takers! Which begs the question, if only 1/2 the money set aside towards food stamps is being used..........where the hell is the unused portion going? Tights for the governor and his band of robbers? Hairspray might be a good guess.

The woman goes on and on. You can be young, old, or in between. You can be unemployed, underemployed, or hell you can even have a job. Doesn't matter! Food stamps a wastin'! Gotta get me some of dem now!! You probably could live in Uzbekistan and get some if you can pop over here and vote every election cycle.

My guess is the food stamp commercial(excuse me nutritional assistance) and the soak the rich scheme are related. After all the jobs are driven out of the state, we'll need those vouchers.

Big government SUCKS folks, if you have not yet figured that out.
