Illinois dropped three spots in Morgan Quitno Press' ranking of the smartest states. We now are numero 35! Vermont is ranked as the smartest state. Arizona the dumbest. I blame our current governor for the slip in the polls. He is about to be re-elected despite the fact we have the highest poverty rate in the Midwest and the largest budget deficit of any state in the nation. Thanks ROD! What were we thinking?
