If you think you have had a bad day at work, el matador here will probably be walking funny over the next few days. Now that's gonna leave a mark. GO BULLS!!

GET THEE THY FUNDING FOR THINE PERFORMACE ART
All this furor over the alleged flushing of the holy book of Islam, the Koran, down the toilet. If this had been the Bible some Manhattan art house owner would be on the phone to the National Endowment for the Arts requesting tax payer dollars be spent on this "brilliant" piece of performance art. Remember the portrait of Jesus covered in urine, why the ACLU practically demanded that we all be forced to view that. It is about free speech and civil rights, blah, blah, blah......I am beginning to think that when someone mentions civil rights, they are not talking about my rights at all. Unless, of course, I want to take up flushing holy scriptures down the loo, then, I'll have a friend in the ACLU. Say, I decide to paint pictures desecrating some Christian religious tradition, I'll have some Hollywood mogul on my doorstep wanting to make a cinematic masterpiece about my life and my "art".
Of course, the dim bulbs on the left fail to see the problem with the incredible lapse of journalistic integrity(stop giggling). Filled with an irrational hatred of President Bush and increasingly Republicans as a whole, judgements have become clouded and "mistakes" are thus made. Of course, these same people are in awe of their own brilliance which makes for a dangerous combination. Irrationality, apoplectic anger, and a condescending elitist world view don't offer a very pretty picture. Fit for a Manhattan art house or a LA production studio but not for the rest of us.

Mental Ward(Churchill that is)
University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill (search), whose
hiring was based partly on his declarations of Native American
heritage, insists he is Native American, even though he doesn't claim
to have a single drop of Native American blood in him.
In a 50-page document sent to university officials yesterday,
Churchill says he meets three key criteria to being Native American:
First, he calls himself Native American. Second, others believe he's
Native American. And third, a tribe of Indians in Oklahoma has
awarded him an associate membership.
I suppose this is like everybody being Irish on St Patrick's Day? If you think it, you can be it! WHO KNEW! I did not know Native Americans played so fast and loose with their heritage? Let's peer into Mr C's wallet.....um, driver's license, library card, aclu membership card, grocery list for all natural food store, Sam's Club card(that is way in the back, supposed to be a secret), and a coupon for an associate membership in a Native American tribe. I suppose others also believe this guy is a professor too?
First, I think he is an a-hole. Second, others believe he is an a-hole. Finally, most members of the American tribe would certify his a-holishness. Therefore....well, you have figured that out. Wow and less than 50 pages! Another successful diagnosis by Dr Stock! Can I have tenure now?

POSTIVE PROOF OF VOTE SUPPRESSION IN OHIO DURING THE LAST PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
Helen Dewar and Paul Farhi | Washington Post | October 23, 2004
Ohio's Supreme Court rejected Ralph Nader's effort to get his name on the state ballot yesterday, in a blow to the independent presidential candidate but a possible boon to the hopes of Democrat John F. Kerry....
The ruling was the second setback in five days for Nader in the critical swing state. On Monday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit turned down Nader's request to delay a federal judge's decision that removed him from the Ohio ballot....
In its ruling yesterday, the court said Nader's campaign waited too long before raising that claim, and that granting Nader's request now "would endanger Ohio's election preparations."
[...]
Nader has been drawing support between 1 percent and 2 percent of voters in Ohio polls. While Nader voters are unpredictable, Doug Schoen, a Democratic strategist unaffiliated with Kerry's campaign, said the Democrat should be the beneficiary. "Given how close the race in Ohio is, this could potentially make all the difference in the world," he said.
Not quite what was advertised in the title line huh? Yes, if John "so very" Kerry needs a specific example of vote suppression, well, the party under whose banner he ran was the one involved. Yes, the LET EVERY VOTE COUNT party is proven once again not to be the party of free elections. Oh, the libs wax poetic about free speech and elections while simultaneously attempting to keep, successfully mind you, a legitimate candidate for President off the ballot in Ohio, Illinois and numerous other states where "friendly" judges and statehouse officials managed to sabotage the independent's campaign.
Yet, despite all their attempts to manipulate this last election into a Kerry victory, they still lost. If they had any sense of shame, or let's make that any sense at all, they would learn from their mistakes. Happily, for we Republicans, the dims failures only make them more determined to head down the "beaten" path. So, you want to know about vote suppression, ask Mr Nader, he'll be the one with the knife in his back.

Yes, with an expression that might lead one to think that Kelly is indeed, somewhere over the rainbow, Ms Osbourne is shown attending The Muppets Wizard of Oz at NYC's Tribeca Film Festival. Dorothy meets the Wicked Witch is evidently her fashion statement. I'll let you guess "witch" won? Let's hope she was in an altered state of mind when choosing this wardrobe. Watch out for flying houses my pretty.
